Empowering Youth Through Positive Leadership Development
I got to know about The Good Leadership (TGL), through Simone and the team through my participation at a event hosted by the team in collaboration with the United Nations Volunteer Nepal. The way Simone and his team engaged the participants and gave such an insightful and interactive session regarding volunteerism and SDG Agenda 2030, I was really inspired to connect with his team, I then joined TGL as a community practitioner.
So far with the team, I have learned, unlearned so much and it has helped me grow both personally and professionally. We have worked together to frame initiations as Business and Human Rights, SDG Agenda 2030 related training and more. Supportive environment for local youth to navigate challenges
I was thrilled to participate in a session on “global warming” where I had the pleasure of meeting Simone and Sushil sir, who led an engaging and informative discussion. Their simplified approach left me with plenty of food for thought, prompting me to delve into my own research on carbon footprint and offsetting. The highlight for me was the United Nations panel discussion simulation that was both educational and fun.
After this experience, I became a community practitioner at The Good Leadership. Interacting with Simone, Sushil sir, and other dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds reignited in me a deeper sense of social responsibility and a desire to contribute to society. As a healthcare professional, I also had the privilege of co-facilitating a session with Simone on SDG 2030 with a focus on health.
