Introduction
“THE GOOD LEADERSHIP, GOOD FOR YOU AND GOOD FOR THE SOCIETY”: A SNAPSHOT
Good Leadership, yes Good Leadership, this is what the world desperately needs.
From climate induced natural disasters to inequalities, lack of social cohesion and alienation and disengagement, youths must step up.
Practicing and achieving Good Leadership helps a youth maximize her potential while contributing to the society, helping achieving the Agenda 2030.
Then, why not doing more to promote good leadership practices by, with and for the youths?
The Good Leadership is process and, at the same time, an overarching aim, the result of consistent personal efforts and actions on the ground for personal betterment and, importantly, for the common good.
Our Role
We think of ourselves as an incubator of new skills, new ideas and hopes that can help youths, especially but not only those who are disadvantaged, to get uplifted and do well while doing good.
We feel there is a need to encourage local youths to embrace a personal quest for self-development, supporting their own paced journey towards self-realization self-discovery. We call this process “self-empowerment”, the engine of good leadership.
In this development of personal and professional growth small “wins”, small steps together with self-assessments of setbacks, are crucial and paramount for a youth’s future.
About The Good Leadership initiative
The Good Leadership aims not only at developing new skills and competencies for young people but also at facilitating the creation of youths driven and youths inspired expertise.
We are talking about ideas, insights and knowledge that are at the crossroads between cutting edge leadership practices and innovative public policies.
In short:
We are a hodgepodge of “different stuff” that are essential to support youths to achieve their potential while also contributing to the society.
